Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
